Their point – coupled with VCD’s failure to win at East Grinstead Town – meant Lewis Taylor’s Hillians finished one point and one place above the relegation play-offs, which will involve VCD and Haywards Heath Town play one-off games versus the runners-up in the SCFL and SECFL to decide who will be in the division next season.
At the More Than Tyres Stadium, there were great scenes at the end as players, fans and staff celebrated Hill’s escape from the threat of relegation.
