Luke Wright performed heroics with the bat - but his unbeaten 116 was not enough to save Sussex from defeat in a thriller against neighbours Hampshire.

Tuesday’s victory over Glamorgan at Hove had kept alive the Sharks’ hopes of progressing to the last eight of the competition.

But they needed to follow that up with a win away to out-of-form Hampshire.
