A stretch of the A23 in Brighton has been reopened after a collision between a car and a coach earlier this afternoon, which left some people with injuries, police said.

Officers were called to the scene on the A23 London Road between Preston Drive and Surrenden Crescent at 11.17am today (Saturday, July 22).

A man was reported injured, as well as a child who received a mild cut above the eye.

A bus stop sustained damage in the collision, police added.

Highways redirected traffic along Surrenden Crescent.

The road has now been reopened.
