The members of the charity's Bognor Regis, Chichester and District branch will be stepping out on July 24 to raise awareness of their service. The date has been chosen to reflect their 24/7 commitment to be available by telephone, e-mail, text or for callers at their Argyle Road branch. They offer confidential, non-judgemental and impartial emotional support. The walk is also intended to advertise their need for new recruits. The Samaritan volunteers will be in Chichester city centre on July 25 to again raise awareness of their need for more members and to raise funds. A spokeswoman said: 'We will be very grateful for all donations as it costs about 100 a day to run our service.'
