Rustington braced for its carnival spectacular
The events are always the highlight of the village’s two-week festival, which kicked off on Saturday, and this year’s spectacle is set to be just as grand.
Both are expected to draw hundreds of spectators, with about 16 different groups taking part in the procession and dozens of stalls, shows, activities and family fun planned for the fête.

Hide AdOrganisers from the Littlehampton District Lions Club are expecting a splash of colour and humour for the carnival with its ‘animal magic’ theme.
First-time organiser of the parade, Alan Kerry, said: “We honestly have no idea what to expect. People could come dressed as absolutely anything.
“We’re just really hoping for the sun to come out and for the weather to be nice.”
The carnival procession will start from Holmes Lane at 1pm, continuing along Sea Lane, Shaftesbury Road, Broadmark Lane and The Street, before turning into Woodlands Avenue and onto the north field of the Recreation Ground, where the grand fête will be held.
