I have every confidence that the council will continue to operate as a high performing, well managed council under the new team.”
Leader of CDC Tony Dignum said: “Since May 2013, we have exceeded our target to make £2.4m of savings. Instead, through savings and the generation of income, we reached a total of £3.6m. We achieved this without making cuts to front line services and have still continued to invest in services and facilities, including building the Grange Leisure Centre, providing additional community grants, and developing back to work schemes.”
