The club is normally based at Worthing Leisure Centre, but it has introduced walking netball at Field Place, just around the corner.
Co-ordinator Jeanie Dickenson said: “Members of the Phoenix 50+ Club have embarked on yet another adventurous activity, in the form of walking netball at Field Place.

“It was voted to continue this weekly lunchtime fun, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on Fridays, at a nominal Phoenix concession fee.”
The walking netball was supervised by Jenni Heirock and Danielle Huet, staff members with the recently-launched Southdown Leisure.
Jeanie added: “We have been told there are further ‘walking’ activities in the Phoenix pipeline – walking basketball and track walking.
“Maybe there will be a 50-plus walking Olympics to follow!”
