'˜Outstanding' Haywards Heath doctor retires after 34 years
Dr Janet While, of Newtons Surgery in Heath Road, will be ‘much missed’ by all her patients, staff and colleagues.
A spokesman for the surgery said: “Having trained locally Janet joined Newtons as a partner in 1983 and over those 34 years has been a truly outstanding servant to her patients, as well as a superb colleague to her staff and partners.

“In this day of sometimes fragmented care she has always endeavoured to provide continuity and a familiar face and voice for her patients.”
Janet’s many accomplishments include the training of new GPs, specialising in women’s health and family planning and leading the practice for the past eight years.
Most recently she has helped write the constitution of the CCG and has consistently fought for the good of all patients within that organisation.
