Burgess Hill biker breaks back and neck in horror crash
Mick Turquand, a 53-year-old self-employed builder from Station Road, broke his back and neck in the smash, as well as sustaining numerous other injuries in the collision with a car on High Beeches Lane.
His fiancée Dawn, 49, who lives with him in Burgess Hill, said: “I’ve got to do everything I can for him because I love him, he’s my rock, he’s my right arm.

Hide Ad“I feel bad because I haven’t cried, it’s hard to explain how I feel, I’m in shock. It sounds bad but I’m just happy that he is alive, if I’d lost him I don’t know what I would do.”

A fundraising event at the Crown Inn in Groombridge is being held on July 5 from 2pm to raise money for the couple in their time of crisis.
There will be an auction, cupcake stall, face painting and bouncy castle sessions.
