Replacement classrooms in the pipeline for Slinfold Primary School
Nigel Jupp, cabinet member for learning and skills, approved the use of £1.158m from the capital programme on Wednesday (December 15).
The school, in The Street, has five classrooms, two of which are 30-year-old modular buildings which were described as ‘poor quality’ and ‘nearing the end of their life’.

“We are very grateful to West Sussex County Council for approving this funding and look forward to seeing the project come to life over the next few months.
“This will make a huge difference to our school.”
Mr Jupp added: “I am very happy to approve the county council investment in Slinfold CE Primary to create two fully-furnished new classrooms in place of the temporary buildings.
“This will greatly benefit pupils and staff and the whole school community and is part of West Sussex County Council’s commitment to improving school facilities right across the county.”
