The idea of The Sussex Yarn Collection was conceived after Mrs Hitchcock ran an extensive market survey amongst her fellow crafters.
“Our results shows that around 80 per cent of people buy their yarn and wool online,” she said. “However, the vast majority of people have to return their wool because the texture or colour isn’t what they needed. With the Sussex Yarn Collection, we hope to bring the fun back into wool shopping.
"Crafters can see and feel the wool they’re buying and benefit from in-person advice and knowledge to make the best decisions for their crafting projects.”
As well as selling materials, The Sussex Yarn Collection will be running weekly knitting and crocheting classes for all levels of crafter – from novices to very experienced.
