Fascinating Aida, Britain’s best-loved comedy cabaret trio who in 2013 celebrated 30 years of their unique brand of cheeky, witty and fabulous entertainment, return to Eastbourne with their new hit show Charm Offensive on Saturday, March 22.
Last October, Dillie Keane, Adele Anderson and Liza Pulman released a freshly-minted song on YouTube entitled Song for Teachers, which gained 100,000 hits within seven days of posting.
On December 22, they released their own outrageous Christmas Carol, which had 150,000 hits in a fortnight.
This followed the enormous success of their infamous anthem to budget travel, Cheap Flights, which has had more than 10,000,000 hits to date!
Fascinating Aida was founded by Dillie Keane in 1983 (joined by key writing partner Adele Anderson in 1984) and since then the group has played in more than 100 theatres in the UK and Ireland, including sell-out London seasons.
They have toured all over the world including Australia three times, with a month at the Sydney Opera House.
As Dillie says, “we’ve never been off the road, and we’re too old to retrain.”
They have made numerous television appearances and radio recordings, released seven CDs, two videos, an autobiography and a songbook, and have also been nominated for several awards – Perrier (once), Olivier (three nominations) and New York Drama desk (three nominations).
In 2013 they won Best Musical Act in the London Cabaret Awards.
Their glamour is magnetic, satire razor-sharp and lyrics brilliant.
