Vocalist Brigitte Beraha and pianist John Turville appear at the Under Ground Theatre on Friday, September 13 (8pm) in the latest in the theatre’s Jazz series.
Brigitte and John’s repertoire consists of material from their new album ‘Red Skies’ – an eclectic choice ranging from well-known jazz standards and Latin gems to contemporary songs.
Joining them on stage, as on the ‘Red Skies’ album, is their special guest tenor sax supremo Bobby Wellins.
John is a versatile, award-winning pianist with a long list of credits and last appeared at the UGT with his own trio.
Brigitte is recognised as one of the most versatile and interesting vocalists to emerge on the London jazz scene in the last decade.
Bobby Wellins is a colossus of the UK jazz scene. Originally from Glasgow, he was on one of the most influential and biggest selling jazz albums ever produced in this country,
