The Royal Hippodrome Theatre Company’s production of White Christmas is now in full swing for the festive season.

The town’s oldest theatre has been making good use of the most up-to-date ways of promoting the show via social media.

There is a Twitter campaign which is trying to get a thousand followers by Christmas.

@Whitechristmas3 will be giving away free tickets to followers if the target is hit.

The show is already proving a great success with more 1,000 people already attending the Turkey & Tinsel matinees.

Musical Director Nicola Brazier stays in the pit during the interval and chats to visitors who are all full of questions, the most common one being ‘Is this really an amateur show?’

Reviewers have called it ‘A Christmas Cracker’; ‘full of light-hearted fun, uplifting singing and dazzling dance routines’; an excellent show that remains true to the Irving Berlin movie’; And ‘A Christmas treat not to miss’.

White Christmas is currently playing matinees on Thursdays until it officially opens on Thursday, December 19, for a full run until January 4 with matinees and evening performances.
