Have your say

Under the direction of award-winning Sandra Tomlinson, EODS Productions present William Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ at the Italian Gardens, Holywell.

The play reveals the intriguing love triangle that links Viola, Orsino and Olivia, played out against a background of confusion and trickery in which drunken Sir Toby Belch and Sir Andrew Aguecheek conspire with the scheming Maria to bring down pompous Malvolio.

The Italian Gardens provide an ideal setting for this open air production. The 17-strong cast, a mix of seasoned performers and new talent are complemented by a band of musicians playing period music. New to the area, Lyla Schillinger will be setting off for The Guildhall School of Music and Drama shortly after making her debut as Viola, while drama student Melodie Gibson plays Olivia. Completing the love triangle, versatile Doug Dalziel, frequently seen performing as the Dame in local panto, is delighted to be returning to Shakespeare as the dashing Orsino. Twelfth Night runs from July 29 to August 8, nightly at 7.30pm (No performance Sunday 2nd August). All seating is covered. Arrive early and bring a picnic or choose from tea, coffee, wine and beer and a fine array of homemade cakes in the refreshment marquee. Tickets are available from the Congress Theatre box office 01323 412000 for £18, £15 and concessions at £13. Or
