FOLLOWING a sell-out tour, including a popular visit to Eastbourne last year, the award-winning West End smash hit show Calendar Girls is returning to the Congress Theatre from June 27-July 2.
This uplifting and moving production features a new all-star cast, including a trio of female comedy actress from some of BBC’s biggest and best loved comedies; Lesley Joseph who is known and loved as the irrepressible Dorian Green from Birds of a Feather, Sue Holderness who is most recognised as Marleen from Only Fools and Horses and The Green Green Grass and Ruth Madoc who starred in Hi-de-Hi.
The show tells the moving story of a group of ordinary women who do something extraordinary and spark a global phenomenon when they persuade one another to pose for a charity calendar - with a difference!
Based on an inspiring true story, Calendar Girls is quirky, poignant and hilarious.
The cast also stars Kathryn Rooney (Calendar Girls, West End), Camilla Dallerup (Strictly Come Dancing), Helen Fraser (Bad Girls), Deena Payne (Emmerdale), Kasey Ainsworth (EastEnders) and Kevin Sacre (Hollyoaks) as Lawrence the photographer.
Evening performances are at 7.45pm with Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost from £14.50-£26.50, call 412000.
