Pupils at Eastbourne College are busy rehearsing for their major annual college production, enjoying the character driven comedy and period dress of arguably the greatest of Anton Chekov’s plays.

Audiences will be welcomed with Russian flavoured refreshments before being transported to the country ‘dacha’ of the Prozorov family!

Three Sisters is a tragi-comedy. The play was first presented at the Moscow Art Theatre in 1901, but is frequently revived not just for the beauty of its language and structure but also its range of universal themes.

This classic play is being performed in the Eastbourne College Theatre 3-5 December, 7.45pm, and will feature a large cast drawn from every year group in the College. Tickets are £9 available from 01323 452255 or boxoffice@eastbourne-college.co.uk
