Shakespearean comedy at the Italian Gardens

THEATRE fans can enjoy Shakespeare and a picnic when EODS perform their annual open-air play at the Italian Gardens.

This year the group will be tackling Much Ado About Nothing from July 27-August 6 (7.30pm).

The specially-built arena features covered seating for the entire audience plus on-site toilets, bar (with hot and cold drinks available) and delicious homemade cakes.

A vivacious woman and a high spirited man both claim that they are determined never to marry.

But when their friends trick them unto admitting each harbours secret feelings for the other, the pair begin to question whether their witty banter conceals something deeper.

Will Benedick and Beatrice drop their defences and embrace the future with open arms? Or will it all turn to be Much Ado About Nothing?

Schemes abound, misunderstandings reproduce rapidly and matches are made in this sparkling Shakespearian comedy.
