PREPARATIONS are underway for this summer’s Eastbourne Theatres production of Gotta Sing Gotta Dance at the Devonshire Park Theatre from August 2-25.
Gotta Sing Gotta Dance began in March 2008, as part of the Eastbourne Festival. Originally the brainchild of Eastbourne Theatres’ artistic director Chris Jordan and musical director Robert Cousins, it was such a huge success the show has gone on to tour the country and returns to the Devonshire Park Theatre for its fifth season.
The show has been revamped since its first incarnation and given a few twists but it will still contain all the trademark Gotta Sing Gotta Dance favourites.
The production includes songs from musicals, including: Hairspray, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Les Miserables, 42nd Street, Barnum, Oliver and many more all in a fully staged and choreographed show.
A cast of West End performers will present two hours of spectacular song and dance numbers from stage and screen, with the accompaniment of a fantastic live band.
The talented cast includes Alison Dormer, Rebecca Lisewski and Adam Scown who all return to the Gotta Sing stable after appearing in previous productions.
The show also features: David McMullan who recently appeared in the West End in Love Never Dies and Menier Chocolate Factory’s Pippin, Simon Adkins who enjoyed a three year run in the award winning Jersey Boys where he created the role of Bob Crewe in the original London cast and who’s other West End credits include: Wicked and The Producers, Lowri Walton completes the line-up.
Evening performances are at 7.45pm with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost from £12.50-£19.50, call 412000.
