Easter fun doesn’t stop even now though the chocolate eggs, fluffy chicks and bunnies might all be gone - it’s time to join in the fun at the Royal Hippdrome Theatre with an all-new singing and dancing production of Rapunzel Rocks.
Rapunzel has all the best traditions of a fairytale, but with a new twist and written especially for the whole family to enjoy and is geared to delight all ages.
Starring the side-splitting ‘Ant Payne’ as Silly Billy, the hilarious Tom Swift as Joey the Jester, and a full supporting professional cast, Rapunzel will take audiences on an action-packed journey of betrayal and false accusations.
But in the end the tangled tale unravels to reach a happy-ever-after finale when love conquers all.
See Jimmy Burton-Iles bring to life the Witch Horrorbella who casts a spell on young Rapunzel, locking her away in a tower deep within the woods.
But in Rapunzel’s bid for freedom she falls in love with the dashing Finn Strider while Joey the Jester and his simple brother Silly Billy do all they can to locate the princess and return her to her loving father, King Albert played by Robert Pearce.
There will, of course, plenty of laughs and giggles from Silly Billy the handy man, a gaggle of ghosts hindering the quest to find Rapunzel, and Joey the Jester discovering that his limbs have a life of their own.
Don’t miss this spectacular production full of magic, original rock and roll songs, dance routines, inspirational sets, fantastic costumes, lots and lots of laughter and enchantment that will thrill the child in all of us - so the invitation from the Royal Hippodrome is to come along and let down your hair.
