Enjoy a rib tickling evening of visual humour and comedic lines as the classic British sitcom Open All Hours takes to the Devonshire Park Theatre stage from October 23-25.
This production was specially commissioned to mark the 40th anniversary of the show’s television premiere.
Join loveable stuttering shopkeeper Arkwright in his trademark brown overalls and Graville, his put-upon errand boy in apron, jeans and dodgy tank top, for good-old laughter in abundance with a touch of nostalgia thrown in.
With painstaking attention to detail this show appeals to all ages and recreates the original setting with frightening accuracy - Granville’s trusty bike, the finger-biting till and even the shop scales included.
This new stage adaptation from Open All Hours Productions is the brainchild of Gary Simmons – who also portrays the miserly but loveable Arkwright in the production and masters his ster ster ster stutter to perfect comedic timing.
Jon Hall plays shy and awkward errand boy Granville and Mary Singh is the charming and kind-hearted Nurse Gladys.
