Prepare for a blast of nostalgia when That’ll Be The Day appears with its bigger-than-ever 30th Anniversary Special at the Congress Theatre.
The rock ‘n’ roll variety spectacular was conceived by Trevor Payne who decided to create a showcase of his favourite artists’ songs as an experiment and years later the show is still going strong.
The gang have kept the format the same, but added even more fun with a line-up of favourite hits from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s, plus of course, the trademark madcap comedy, complete with silly costumes and wigs, not forgetting celebrity impressions and the team’s own special versions of the adverts of yesteryear.
That’ll Be The Day; 30th Anniversary Special is at the Congress Theatre, Sunday 23 August, 7.30pm. Tickets £22.50, £25, £26.50 are available at the Box Office on 01323 412000 or book online at www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk.
