Deadly Nightcap rampant in Stone Cross this April

The Haven Players will present Deadly Nightcap from the pen of master thriller writer Francis Durbridge on April 21/22 at the Stone Cross Memorial Hall.

Murder and mystery abound in this ingenious play, with more than its fair share of blind alleys. Initially the plot seems to follow a familiar pattern, a greedy husband plotting to kill his wife. Jack Radford tries to convince his wife that she is on the verge of a nervous breakdown in order to make it seem like her impending death is a suicide. His plans are thwarted and he, not his wife, ends up dead. But how and by whom? Even though the investigation led by Cliff Jordan concludes Jack was murdered by a prowler, there are so many possible suspects and motives that truth eludes everyone until the shocking denouement. Performances at 7.30pm with Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets £9 adults and £7.50 for student/children. Bookings can be made on 01323 767816 or www.havenplayers.com.
