Hailed as one of the greatest British comedies ever written, Michael Frayn’s multi-award-winning backstage farce Noises Off serves up a riotous double bill – a play within a play.

Hurtling along at breakneck speed it follows the backstage antics of a touring theatre company as they stumble their way through rehearsals in Weston-super-Mare, to a shambolic Wednesday matinee in Ashton under-Lyne, and a final disastrous performance in Stockton-on-Tees.

The cast includes Neil Pearson (Monroe, Between the Lines, Drop the Dead Donkey and Bridget Jones’ Diary); Maureen Beattie (Lewis, The Bill, Taggart, Casualty); David Bark-Jones, Simon Bubb, Danielle Flett, Geoffrey Freshwater, Chris Larkin, Thomasin Rand and Sasha Waddell.

Noises Off is at The Congress Theatre from Tuesday, April 16, to Saturday, April 20 – evening performances at 7.30pm with 2.30pm matinees on Thursday and Saturday.
