Cirque Du Ciel mixes music and martial arts

THE INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed ShangHi by Cirque Du Ciel makes its Eastbourne debut this summer following their sell-out UK tour last year.

This stunning celebration of music, martial arts and breathtaking acrobatics comes to the Congress Theatre, Eastbourne for two days only on Friday August 31 and Saturday September 1.

Described as having “more punch than a champion boxer”, this jaw-dropping show has to be seen, to be believed.

Cirque Du Ciel’s ShangHi is an astonishing extravaganza which combines acrobatics, modern dance, original music, martial arts and many other Chinese elements in an amazing adventure; an unforgettable spectacle that is packed full of seemingly effortless artistry and feats of extraordinary strength and ability.

This show has more than 30 skilled performers showcasing the best of human acrobatic ability and strength as they fly up monkey poles and demonstrate eye popping contortions.

Originally directed in China by Cirque Du Soleil’s Guy Caron, this internationally acclaimed production has been theatrically reworked.

It also features amazing magic illusions and stunts. ShangHi will take you on a journey through the mysterious dreams of a young girl as she delves into her magical fantasies.
