The cast of the thriller Double Death assembled in Eastbourne for the first time last week to begin rehearsals for this chilling tale which is the highlight of the summer season at the Devonshire Park Theatre where it runs Julym 29-August 23.
The star cast, which includes Brian Capron (Coronation Street), Andrew Paul (The Bill), Kim Tiddy (Hollyoakes and The Bill) and Judy Buxton (On the Up) rehearsed in the Devonshire Park Halls, a rehearsal space just behind the theatre.
Andrew Paul said: “It’s great for me to return to Eastbourne, I was here at the beginning of the summer with the show Devil at Midnight and it’s lovely to be returning to the seaside.
“I am playing a complex role in this production so the rehearsal period is intense, but it’s a great company of actors and we are all really enjoying it.
“The Devonshire Park is a lovely theatre and I’m looking forward to treading its boards again.”
Hove-based actor Brian Capron is no stranger to Eastbourne either and he returns to the Devonshire Park following his acclaimed role in last summers Educating Rita.
Written by Simon Williams, the twisting plot charts a chilling game of cat and mouse between identical twins Max and Ashley.
Set in an isolated house high on the cliffs on the north Cornish coast with a howling gale outside and the electricity about to go out, anything could happen…
Add into the mix a well meaning aunt, a nurse who is perhaps not all that she seems and the local detective and the stage is set for a nerve shredding night at the theatre.
