The Friends of the Devonshire Park Theatre are offering a behind-the-scenes tour of the theatre on the morning of Saturday May 28.
Visitors will hear the history of the theatre and go on stage and will be guided through the technical aspects of staging a show.
They will then see the backstage facilities for the actors. Tickets are £5 per person to include tea/coffee and homemade cake.

Each tour will be guided by Edward Thomas, whose knowledge of the history of the theatre is legendary, and your visit will be rounded off by a cup of tea or coffee and a homemade cake in the bar.
There will be an opportunity for buying a memento of your tour in the form of Edward’s informative book The Playhouse in the Park or some lovely notecards with photographs depicting some of the beautiful aspects of our theatre.
The first tour is at 9.45, but hurry to get your tickets as numbers are strictly limited and one tour is already sold out.
