The next offering from Hailsham Theatres is Outside Edge by Richard Harris which promises to bowl audiences over at Summerheath Hall.
Performances will be from Thursday June 9 – Saturday June 11 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
The scene is set with neatly mowed village green, clear blue skies, a cricket team in perfectly pressed whites, tea and sandwiches waiting in the pavilion, loyal wives and girlfriends looking on. Sounds perfect? Think again because storm clouds are gathering, and not just in the sky.
Watch sparks begin to fly as the team foolishly try to solve their various marital problems at the same time as winning the game.
Richard Harris is a prolific British television writer who has been part of The Avengers, The Sweeney, Armchair Mystery Theatre, and Target. He has helped to create several standout series including Adam Adamant and Shoestring. Despite a career largely spent writing for the crime and detective genre, in 1994 he won the prize for best situation comedy from the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain for Outside Edge, which he had originated as a stage play.
