Eastbourne Theatres unveils its ever-popular Murder in the Park season opening with tense thriller Stone Cold Murder which runs at the Devonshire Park Theatre from June 23-27.
Written by James Cawood, this gripping tale is set in deep winter in the English Lake District. Olivia and Robert, owners of the Langstrath Country House are enjoying the success of their first season and the respite of the winter break when their solitude is disrupted by the appearance of Ramsay, a lost climber looking for shelter.
As the evening unfolds, it becomes apparent that Ramsay’s presence in this desolate spot is anything but a coincidence, and soon events take a murderous turn…
Stone Cold Murder stars Freya Copeland (Law and Order, Casualty, Emmerdale) as Olivia, Gary Turner (Emmerdale) as Sam, David Callister (The Chief, True Crimes) as Ramsay and Nick Barclay (Stones in His Pockets, Private Lives) as Robert.
The other plays in the Murder in the Park Thriller Season are: Sherlock Holmes and the Ripper Murders (30 June – 4 July) by Brian Clemens in which the venerable sleuth and Dr John H Watson take on a new, terrifying case; Murder with Love, (7 – 11 July) by Francis Durbridge, a tale of blackmail, deception and murder; and Portrait of Murder (14 – 18 July) by Robert Bloomfield, in which a rich and successful author loses her memory in a devastating accident and finds herself in a web of deceit as she pieces together her past.
