Hot from a successful summer run at London West End’s Vaudeville Theatre I Believe in Unicorms, based on the eponymous book by award-winning children’s author Michael Morpurgo, is currently touring the UK and will be calling in at The Under Ground Theatre in Eastbourne on Saturday, November 1.

This utterly magical one-woman show, starring storyteller Danyah Miller, is set in a library full of books which contains more than stories within their pages.

It is a tale of the power of books and the bravery of a young boy called Tomas.

He loves playing in the mountains and hates reading and school but his world is turned upside down the day he meets the Unicorn and the Unicorn Lady in his local library.

An interactive show that captures the enchantment of storytelling, I Believe in Unicorns sparks the imagination of both children and adults and is suitable for everyone over five years old.

Michael Morpugo said: “It is wonderful that a magic unicorn is coming to town, a unicorn like no other. A horse, like War Horse, is one thing - also like no other - but a unicorn?

“No one will believe it until they see it, but a unicorn, once seen, like the horse, like Joey, is always believed.”
