Burlesque and Music Hall variety acts fascinated and entertained a 200-strong audience at the Barn Theatre last week.
Sussex By The Sea, written and directed by veteran of the London Musical Hall stage, Graham Tubb, featured music by Lionel Bart, Noel Coward and other favourites from times gone by.
Scenes ranged from the Seaford bay to the end of the pier in Brighton and sketches and songs were filled with colourful costumes and raucous laughter.
Their next show is a one-night only fundraiser, ‘Headliners’, for restoration works at the theatre on Saturday June 13, another variety show that promises to delight and thrill the spectators.
