Eastbourne Stagers invite you to fly over the Rainbow with Dorothy and join her in the Merry Old Land of Oz this September with their production of The Wizard of Oz.
In the Royal Shakespeare Company’s adaptation of this timeless musical, share Dorothy’s journey to meet the mysterious Wizard of Oz (Tommy Lee Brown), help her new-found friends in the form of a Scarecrow (Max Levett), a Tin Man (Christian Wust) and a Lion (Mcauley Parker) while having to tackle the iconic character the Wicked Witch of the West (Maddison James).
Add in the Jitterbug, the Munchkins and flying monkeys, plus energetic dancing courtesy of choreographer Teresa Smith and classic musical numbers such as Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Ding Dong the Witch is Dead and The Merry Old Land of OZ this is a show for the whole family.
The youthful cast members, aged eight to 20, are directed by Keith Smith, with musical direction from Dustin Conrad. The show runs at the Devonshire Park Theatre on Tuesday, September 10, to Saturday, September 14 , nightly at 7.30pm plus a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
