Firefighters will be hosting an open day this weekend at the Community Fire Station in Seaford.
The event, which takes place on Saturday (June 6) between 11am and 3pm, will give visitors the chance to meet their local firefighters, learn about safety and have fun.
Highlights will include building fire simulations and a road traffic collision demonstration. People will also be able to look at a variety of fire appliances in-between the displays.
Crews will be on hand to talk to members of the public about the importance of road safety and taking care when driving during the Summer months and there will be the opportunity to try out the seat belt sled. The sled allows users to experience what happens to their body when a car stops suddenly and demonstrates the importance of wearing a seat belt.
Advisers will be on hand to talk about fire safety and there will be the chance to book a Home Safety Visit.
Local lifeguards, Sussex East Coast Ambulance and the coastguard and will also be there.
