Local singer Tom Fitzpatrick returns to the Under Ground Theatre in Eastbourne on Sunday, November 16 with a new nine-piece band, in a special concert to promote the launch of their new album.
Tom has become a regular attraction in Eastbourne drawing crowds of more than 1,000 to his gigs at the bandstand, but this is a more intimate affair, and a real chance to see Tom up close and personal, as he sings songs from the album.
The tracks are a mixture of songs by artists such as Coldplay and Pharrell Williams, which have been reworked in a hip and soulful way with a nod to the music of Jamie Cullum, as well as classics like Mambo Italiano, Everybody’s Talkin’ and Lovely Day which have been given a contemporary makeover.
Tom, his drummer Ollie Boorman, bass player Dan Humphreys, pianist Tom Phelan and Jen Baille on violin are all Eastbourne residents
The band features musicians whose credits include Dave Stewart, Gwen Stefani, Buddy Greco, Lianne Carroll and Viola Wills.
The evening will also feature a guest spot from singer Julie Maguire - the sensational featured vocalist in Brendan Cole’s incredible dance shows.
