Swing, jig and rock with Taylor Maid

West Sussex-based band Taylor Maid will perform vintage songs and tunes at the Under Ground Theatre on Saturday October 24 at 7.30pm.

Formed in 2013, Taylor Maid brings together a wide variety of music from the 1920s to the present day with an array of instruments and vocals.  They put passion into each song or tune, whether a lively upbeat swing number, bluesy jazz tune or a foot-tapping fiddle jig.

From their version of ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ or ‘Mack the Knife’ and ‘Feeling Good’ they will launch into songs such as Never on Sunday in Greek, Besame Mucho in Spanish, and classics sung in other foreign tongues. Recent covers by artists such as Imelda May and Bellowhead are in there – and not forgetting passionate gypsy jazz tunes and lively fiddle jigs and reels. There should be something for everyone to enjoy and dance to. For more information please visit: www.jonwigg.com
