EASTBOURNE singer/songwriter Simon Snowden will be marking his birthday by returning to the stage at the town’s Under Ground Theatre – almost a year after his last appearance.
The occasion is the theatre’s weekly coffee morning, on July 9, from 10am until noon.
Simon will start off, as before, performing solo – but there’s every chance that he’ll be joined on stage by a newly-formed band, for the second half of the morning.
Whether performing alone or not, Simon Snowden will be inviting the audience to enjoy a whole range of songs, both familiar and unfamiliar – and he’ll again be demonstrating his skills on a variety of guitars.
His choice of which old favourites to include will no doubt in part reflect his admiration for Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits. He’ll also be singing songs made famous by the likes of The Steeldrivers and Sting. And you’ll also have an opportunity to hear some of his original compositions.
