A longtime favourite of British folk and blues, Wizz Jones, returns to The Lamb Folk Club on Wednesday, June 3.
Originally inspired by Big Bill Broonzy and Rambling Jack Elliott, Wizz learned his trade in the clubs of Soho during the 1950s. He soon followed the time -honoured buskers trail to Paris and Morocco before returning to 1960s London where his fluid, folk-blues guitar picking would influence Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and many more. After more than 50 years on the road Wizz continues to delight audiences with his unique guitar style and eclectic repertoire.
All are welcome to the event, doors open at 7.30pm and admission is £6 on the door. Or call 728268.
