Legendary American Blues guitarist Guy Davis is set to play an acoustic set for customers at The Vinyl Frontier Record Shop in Eastbourne’s Old Town on Saturday, May 17.
After the overwhelming success of Squeeze frontman Chris Difford’s in-store performance for Record Store Day on Easter Saturday (April 19), Eastbourne’s longest-established dedicated record shop The Vinyl Frontier is thrilled to welcome an equally special guest from the USA.
“We had around 100 people crowding around the shop and filling the road outside when Chris Difford played, so we wanted to keep the excitement going and are really pleased to have a blues guitarist as famous as Guy Davis playing,” said co-proprietor Chris King.
Guy Davis was born in 1952 and grew up in Harlem, New York. Today he is respected as one of the finest modern day exponents of the Blues.
Guy will perform an acoustic in-store performance at The Vinyl Frontier at around 2pm, before going on to play an evening concert upstairs in the nearby Lamb Inn, where tickets are available at the bar.
