2014 has been a very busy year for The Rattonians celebrating 30 years of musical theatre in Eastbourne.

Producers Mark and Melanie Adams have produced every one of the shows and have grown the group from small beginnings at the Tivoli Theatre to a company with a reputation for staging large scale productions at The Congress Theatre.

The couple have always described The Rattonians as their extended family and enjoyed seeing young talent blossom and grow through the years.

The summer show ‘West End to Broadway’ was a great success bringing together performers who have worked with the group over the years to the youngest being just five years old.

This autumn the group is staging the much-loved musical ‘Grease’, a show which until recently had been unavailable to amateur groups.

With a young vibrant cast it is the perfect vehicle for The Rattonians and the company have had a lot of fun working on the well-known show.

Jan Lynton has choreographed so many shows for the group and this year she has thoroughly enjoyed working on such energetic projects! Grease is a great show packed with fun and familiar songs.

Directed by Mark Adams with Musical Director, Carl Greenwood, the show opens on Wednesday October 29, through to Saturday, November 1, at The Congress Theatre with Thursday and Saturday matinees. Box office 01323 412000.
