Puccini’s Messa di Gloria will be the main work at annual choral concert

EASTBOURNE College Choral Society will be performing its annual choral concert on May 1 (7.30pm) at St Saviour’s Church.

The main work is Puccini’s Messa di Gloria. The Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra will accompany and will also play Weber’s Jubilee Overture which ends with the rousing sound of the National Anthem to help celebrate the Royal Wedding.

The programme also includes Parry’s Hear My Words, Ye People and Bizet’s Pearl Fishers’ Duet. The 60-piece orchestra will be conducted by Graham Jones and led by Lisa Wigmore.

The soloists are Martin Elliott, College Head of Vocal Studies, and former College pupil Andrew Wicks.
