This Friday sees the first open mic event to take place at the Birley Centre in Eastbourne, from 7pm.
Tickets cost £2 on the door and the event is open to everyone - performers or those who come along to appreciate live music, or dance and support local talent.
The evening is hosted by Eastbourne College and all proceeds will go to Delta 7 which is a band of learning disabled musicians, recently awarded a prize for Arts and Culture at the SPARK awards ceremony at the Winter Garden. Delta 7 will be joined on stage other bands such as The Melts, Monkey Thieves and Our Future Selves and there are still slots available for other group and solo acts to perform. There will be DJs too.
Julia Roberts, Director of Culture Shift CiC which supports Delta 7 said; “The Open Mic night will be a great showcase and celebration of the diverse talent of Eastbourne.”
