With a reputation for amazing musicianship, daring musical adventures and wickedly funny between-song exchanges, Belshazzar’s Feast return to The Lamb Folk Club on Wednesday, May 7, as part of their 20th anniversary tour.
Nominated for a coveted BBC Folk Award in 2010, the duo features the exceptional talents of Paul Sartin and Paul Hutchinson.
As a singer, oboist, violinist, composer and arranger, Paul performs and records extensively with award-winning big band Bellowhead and edits publications of music manuscripts, delivers workshops and is consultant and director of the Andover Museum Loft Singers.
Paul Hutchinson is a superlative accordion player and is well known for his work with Hoover the Dog, Karen Tweed and the Playford Liberation Front.
As a duo, they start with traditional folk music, add a touch of classical and jazz, throw in a bit of pop and music hall and top it off with wry humour to create a unique live experience.
The music starts at 8pm and admission is £7 on the door. The enquiry number is 728268.
