Local musicians together in gig to raise funds for Oxfam’s work

Four bands will hit the stage at the Oxjam music festival on Tuesday October 27 at the Under Ground Theatre from 7.30pm.

Headlining is indie sensation Dorey the Wise but the fun doesn’t stop there. Sweet Jonny, The Hooterneers and Cardboard Hit will all be ramping it up on-stage to help raise funds for Oxfam.

Cardboard Hit produce their own take on stripped-down garage rock by combining vocal harmonies with heavy grooves and riff based tunes. Sweet Jonny is a gutter garage rock band – fervent and energetic. The Hooterneers play a mix of styles/eras from rock and indie, to pop and disco spanning the decades. Dorey the Wise have been described as ‘the future kings of Indie,’ with their honest lyrics, passion and energy. Doors and bar open at 7pm. Tickets: £8 (£10 on door, £7.50 with promotional ticket code). Buy at UGT on Fridays & Saturdays (10-4pm); from Eastbourne TIC; at Vinyl Frontier, via www.undergroundtheatre.co.uk or 0845 680 1926.
