THE JOHN Turville Trio performs at the Under Ground Theatre on April 29 (8pm).
They are a jazz group who achieved national recognition for “performing original music with allure, power and sophistication”. They’re called the John Turville Trio.
John is not a typical figure on the jazz scene. He is a trained classical pianist who studied music at Cambridge, before completing a postgraduate course in jazz at London’s Guildhall. John won the Ted Heath Arranger’s Prize for a big band arrangement in 2000, and currently runs the E17 Big Band.
Joining him on stage will be Chris Hill (bass) and Ben Reynolds (drums).
Tickets cost £10, call 737677 or buy them from the Tourist Information Centre.
