The Magic Of Motown

Celebrating 50 years of legendary hits The Magic of Motown comes to the Congress Theatre on Friday September 4 in a cracking production guaranteed to leave you dancing.

In 1965, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Stevie Wonder and The Temptations crossed the Atlantic for a UK-wide tour of ABC, Odeon and Gaumont Theatres and this began the process of making music history.

To mark the occasion, The Magic of Motown brings this all-new production with an extensive nationwide tour, packing in classics including Stop In The Name Of Love, Tracks Of My Tears, Dancing In The Street, My Guy, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Endless Love, Ain’t Too Proud to Beg, My Girl, I Want You Back, I’ll Be There, How Sweet It Is and of course Baby Love.

“Sadly, many of the original singing legends are either no longer with us or are no longer touring. The Magic of Motown is the nearest you’ll get to authentically capturing their incredible musical legacy in a live show. Our young cast is able to reflect the exuberance and excitement of these songs as they were originally performed,” says the show’s producer Michael Taylor.

Performance starts 7.30pm. Tickets priced £22.50, £25, £26.50. Book on 01323 412000 or book online at www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk
