CHAMBER-MUSIC enthusiasts can look forward to an unusual combination of instruments when the Under Ground Theatre hosts its March recital on March 20 (3pm).
On stage will be the Raven Harp Trio, who play harp, viola and flute: the first time that the harp has featured in the current chamber-music season at the UGT.
Please note that they will be taking the place of the Lindorf Trio – whose name appears in the theatre’s brochure.
The Raven Trio is made up of Jennifer Raven (who plays flute), Alexandra Ursache (viola) and Federica Mossone (harp).
They have been playing as a trio since 2008 when they were all studying at the Trinity College of Music.
At the Under Ground, they will be playing seven works in all. These will include compositions by Bach and Ibert, and also by Debussy – the first great composer to write for this combination of instruments, though many others have since followed his lead.
Tickets cost £8. For more information or to buy them from the Tourist Centre call 737677.
