Celebrated concert pianist comes to castle

INTERNATIONAL concert pianist Adolfo Barabino will be performing in the ballroom of Herstmonceux Castle on August 16 (7.30pm).

Born in Genoa where he studied at the Nicolo Paganini Conservatoire, Barabino has recently performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and in Budapest, Prague, Madrid and Japan, where he gave concerts in the Minato Marai Concert Hall, Yokohama, and the Aoi Concert Hall, Shizuoka.

The celebrated pianist has a reputation as one of the finest interpreters of Chopin’s music, and is currently recording the complete works of the great Polish composer with Claudio Records.

The programme in Herstmonceux Castle’s Ballroom with its magnificent Steinway piano includes F. Chopin, Notturni op.72 in mi minore post, Mazurche op.63 no. 2 in fa minore,

Sonata in si bem. minor no 2 op.35 and F. Schubert, Sonata in si bem maggiore.
