AN INTRIGUING mix of experience and youth will be providing the coffee-morning musical entertainment at the Under Ground Theatre on Saturday 7th July 7 (10am-noon).
First on stage will be the vastly experienced Gary Davies, and his ukelele, with the songs of George Formby.
He’s appeared on national television several times, and has long been a mainstay of the local entertainment scene – with appearances at the Hippodrome and on the pier, and scores of Eastbourne hotels and old folk’s homes.
After a break, the second half of the morning will belong to young Brighton-based duo Kalisaya Flynn and Katie Hall, better known simply as Kali & Katie.
They’ll be playing a range of Kali’s own compositions, which he sums up as “acoustic folk with a dash of whimsy”. With Kali on guitar, Katie on penny whistle, and vocals shared, this is a couple who are clearly going places.
Entry is free.
