Tomorrow evening will see a stunning performance by international artists who have flown in to take part in a classic concert at the Birley Centre.
Pianists Maria Skurjat-Silva and Mauricio Silva together with Agnieszka Kozlowska, a soloist with the Warsaw Chamber Opera, will be performing a wide range of music, including works from Brahms, Dvorak, Rachmaninow, Schuman and the English composer David Brown.
Maria Skurjat graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She has toured several times in the United States, performing at the Cleveland Severance Hall and in New York, Chicago, New Jersey, as well as Toronto and Montreal, Canada.
She has also given concerts in China, South America and Europe. Maria often appears as a guest soloist at the Borderland Music Festival in Warsaw and Vilnius, where she performs works of Polish composers.
Agnieszka Kozlowska, a soloist with the Warsaw Chamber Opera made her operatic debut at the Grand Theatre in Poznan as Papagena in The Magic Flute of Mozart.
She has appeared in theatres in Germany Japan, France, Spain, Lebanon, Oman and Poland. She has performed with the Polish National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Poznan Philharmonic, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Brandenburger Symphoniker and Sinfonietta Wuppertal.
Mauricio Silva graduated from The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
He made his debut at the Warsaw Philharmonic and during his concerting career he has performed at The Chopin Association and the Porczyński’s Gallery and the Koszalin Philharmonic . He has also played in the United States, Chile, Bolivia, Lithuania ,Spain and Italy. He is a regular guest on numerous philharmonic halls and concert halls around the world.
