Acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist St Vincent will be playing at the Winter Garden, Eastbourne, on Thursday, October 23,r as part of her UK tour.

St Vincent is the stage name of New York-based Annie Clark, whose fearlessly inventive approach to her song-writing has resulted in ‘smart, demanding and unique’ pop.

She started her music career as a member of the Polyphonic Spree and was also part of Sufjan Stevens’ band before forming her own band in 2006.

Annie also collaborated with Talking Heads’ David Byrne in 2012 for the album Love this Giant, with major sold out shows all across Europe.

Shortly after touring wrapped with Byrne, Clark was back to writing her next album, St. Vincent - a serious contender for best album of the year.

Clark has an inspiring creative energy, emphasising a character-driven performance that has become a highlight in her live shows.

It’s charming and alarming, gorgeous and morbid, comforting and uncanny, and she’s not slowing down any time soon.
